F.A.Q
When the resurrection stones came in contact with the veil, it allowed everyone that was dead to come back to life.
They were the souls of those dead coming back. Since they were excessively emotional ( happy, anxious, confused) they were unable to take a stable solid form yet. Some were able to phase in and out such as Grindelwald, but eventually they all left. The Founders were stable and didn't have excess emotions so that allowed them to stay in the Ministry.
They went back to the place they were happiest and most comfortable in order to take physical form.
They are people who have died, that have come back to life at the age they were most happy. They do not remember anything else after that point. So unless their death was the happiest moment, they have no memory of dieing. They are not the 'living dead'. They will age like anyone else who is alive, and can even reproduce if they choose. For example, Lily and James Potter could have another child. But as time starts to pass, certain triggers will make them remember the rest of their life and their death. The most difficult or painful the memories they are, the harder it will be for the resurrected to remember. It also depends on the person's abilities and strengths, such as Salazar Slytherin will have a better time remember something important than Colin Creevey.
If the resurrected character is Hogwarts age, they could go back to school.
If they had takens their OWLS, NEWTs, and training in the past all records would be on file in the Ministry, and they should be able to get their jobs back. If they never got a job the first time they were alive, it's a good time to get it now.
As for money, if they had a Gringotts vault, still have the key, and no one inherited their money it should be still there, with interest.
If your character is evil and bent on destroying muggle-kind, we will have plot for you!
Activity is mandatory. We prefer that you post a journal entry OR an RP entry once every week. But activity checks will be taken every beginning of the month. No OOC drama, no god-modding and meta-gaming. Commenting to other journals is a must. Simple as that.. we're here to have fun so there's no need to get too strict with rules.
It is 2008, after the war against Voldemort and the Death-Eaters has ended. Real time will equal game time, so if today is January 26th 2008, it is January 26th, 2008 in the game.
Yes, you do.. while sometimes, its not possible to comment to every single entry, we do prefer you comment to as much as you can. If we see that you're only replying/playing with one or two other characters, we're going to have to intervene. You're in a game to play with everyone. If you want to only play with your buddy, make a private game.
Crossed outsentences are difficult to read, so really it's your own discretion how well your character can read it, if they recognize the handwriting and if you think your character should see it or not.Crossed out and Boldedis completely unreadable, no exceptions.
Simple: Ask the mods. This includes pregnancy, family deaths, violent occurrences, etc. We won't bite or say no, honestly, but we'd just like to stay up-to-date with what you are planning for your character. Don't worry.. we would actually LOVE it if you attempted to come up with your plots as well. :)
There is no limit at the moment, since there is pretty much an unlimited amount of characters available. Once you reach four though, we're going to consider how active you are and if you can handle another character.
That depends on your activity with the first character. We can say at least two weeks in between, but if you're not that active with your first character within that two-week range, you might have to wait longer.
We don't have one! Its understandable that those can be intimidating when it comes to applying for games. But mods DO have the right to ask you to change your PB should we deem it inappropriate, hence please put down more than one PB choice. But, please be reasonable. Do not join for the sake of PB shipping Rachel/Adam or Sophia/Chad (while its not completely forbidden), do not use Scene kids or models (There can be exceptions for Slytherin or certain characters), do not pick a blonde for Harry, Hermione and the Weasleys, do not pick a red-head for Draco and the Malfoys.
Shipping is allowed, smut must come with a warning and slash is carefully monitored. Just do not make your character all about relationships and sex because in reality.. everyone usually has other stuff to worry about besides that. Do not change canon character's sexualities (no Harry/Draco), and keep the ships as they are (no Harry/Hermione). And if you do apply with the intention of slashing (i.e. Sirius/Remus) you need not apply, you will be rejected. We are keeping the ships canon. Incest is not allowed at all, but I'm sure no one would think twice about that. ;)
Your character's personal journals are where you post their first-person accounts of absolutely anything that went on in their lives.forgottenooc is where everything OOC goes.
notforgotten is the RPG community where you post your threads/logs, which are third-person accounts, in either of the following formats:
OR
Use the American MPAA Guidelines:
- PG : usage of 'damn' and 'hell,' for example, or a suggestion of sex, drug use, alcohol, etc.
- PG-13 : most vulgarities and minor physical violence/sexual innuendo
- R : extreme language/"fade to black" sexual activity
- NC-17 : hardcore sex or violence.
There isn't one, we just trust you to read the rules. So say yes... or if you're so inclined, use Merlin's Purple Panties! Either one works, we won't hold it against you. But if you use the latter one, we'll get a laugh!
Post a comment here and ask! :) Chances are plenty of people have the same question as you and most likely, we've missed something important that we needed to answer. So we might just end up posting it as well.
